Getting there

Bank access: GoodIFI's guide explicitly says both lakes are accessible from shore or by boat and names multiple piers, jetties, shelters and shore access points. For fly fishing, boat coverage still opens more of the classic drifts.

Weed: LightConn is less alkaline than the big limestone western lakes and is more a bay, rock and shallow-system than a heavy-weed lake. Weed does occur locally but is not the defining feature.

Local notes

Schoolhouse Bay, Gillaroo Bay, Brackwansha and Cloghans are the named west and south access centres most often repeated in guide and report material; Coleman's Shallows, Cassidy's Point and Victoria Bay also recur. Conn is a two-basin drift lake with productive shallows, reefs and island water rather than featureless open water. Best-attested condition patterns are classic wave-and-wet-fly days on the named shallows and island drifts. PROXY from guide and report material is that old Schoolhouse, Cloghans and Gillaroo drifts improve once there is enough south or south-west wind to set up a proper drift.
