Local notes
Oughterard and Greenfields are the main repeat-access trout centres, while Doorus and Annaghdown regularly feature in report and federation material; Rinerroon Bay is notable more for weed issues than for classic open drift water. Corrib fishes as two different lakes: the lower/southern basin is shallower, weedier and more sheltered, while the upper/northern basin is more open and deeper. Best-attested condition patterns are daytime mayfly over classic drifts in May and dawn Caenis fishing in midsummer; PROXY from club and report snippets is that Doorus and Greenfields fish better once there is enough wind to move the boat properly.
