The searching/coloured-water Perdigon: the stripped-quill body gives natural segmentation and the small hot-spot collar gives fish something to find when visibility drops — without the full-flash attractor look the engine's brand-neutral box avoids. First change fly when the natural Perdigon is being ignored in tea-stained water. Keep the hot spot to a collar; a whole orange fly is a different (and worse) argument.

A segmented natural nymph with a restrained trigger point — the searching Perdigon for tinged water.

Point or dropper on a Euro leader; the change fly.
