The clear-water depth tool: Spanish competition tyers built the Perdigon to sink faster than anything of its size — slim, resin-coated, tungsten-headed — after FIPS rules banned weight on the leader. Fish it where the drift is short and deep: pocket water, pool heads, the creases. 2.0 mm bead for skinny water at 16–18, 2.5–3.0 mm at 14–16 as the standard. It's the fly-as-sinker; let the drift do the fishing.
Imitates
A generic darting nymph — pheasant-tail colours in a fast-sinking resin body; built for depth, not detail.
Team position
Point in fast pockets; dropper over a jig anchor in bigger water.
