When to use
A river-bed fly: fish it deep and dead-drift, on the point of a Euro leader or under a duo dry, where it earns its place year-round because larvae are always in the drift. Green in spring around grannom time, cream as the general searcher. Carry a lightly-beaded (2.0 mm) and a heavier (2.5 mm) version and change weight before you change pattern.
Imitates
Free-living and cased caddis (sedge) larvae on the river bed — grannom and green-sedge larvae especially.
Team position
Point fly fished deep; also the nymph under a duo dry.
