Local notes

The best official trout detail is blunt rather than granular: trout angling is stated to be concentrated in the northern shallow sections, while Donore is the main launch/public area. Public official-source named trout drifts and bays are scarce; late-evening sedge hatches are attested, with fish feeding but sometimes slow to take, and the first mayfly activity is reported first from the northern end. The lake is long, narrow and intricate with a deeper southern neck, so boat coverage matters and precise named trout drifts were not found in the official public source set.
